Welcome to the Hereford Triathlon Club, where we roll out the welcome mat for everyone—whether you’re just dipping your toes in or you’ve got a medal collection to rival the Olympics. 

We’re run by a bunch of amazing volunteers, coaches, and marshals who pour their hearts into making sure everything runs smoothly. Without them, there would be no club. Thank you volunteers! 

In 1987, Hereford hosted its very first triathlon at the Leisure pool.  In 1988, the club was formed, and almost 4 decades later, we are still a club with a reputation for being welcoming, fun, safe, fair and encouraging. We’re affiliated with Triathlon England and the Cycling Time Trials association.

We aim to inspire everyone to dive into training and racing, no matter your age, size, or skill level. We aim to keep our membership fees affordable, but our coached sessions are exclusive to members. If you want to join our pool swimming, you should be able to swim 100m on your own at any pace. 

Our club sessions:

• *Tuesday: Coached swim session at Hereford Leisure Pool from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (must be able to swim 100m unaided at any pace).
• Wednesday: Running Club, meeting at Hereford Leisure Pool at 6:15 PM.
• Thursday: Winter - club Zwift time trials; Summer - local cycling time trials (let us know if you’d like to participate).
• *Friday: Open water swimming (summer only).
• Sunday: Group cycling departing from Hereford Leisure Pool at 9:00 AM.
• *Sunday: Uncoached swim sessions at 4:15 PM.
• *Subject to additional charge

All sessions now require booking, even if they are free to attend. This is for the safety of both participants and coaches/leaders. If you cannot attend a session for any reason, please make sure to cancel your reservation. This practice helps ensure the smooth functioning of our club. 

These sessions accommodate all abilities, except for the coached swimming, and participants will be grouped with others who have similar coaching needs. All skill levels are welcome.

We also race in the county’s summer and winter cross-country leagues and put on additional sessions such as track running, track cycling, transition skills during the season. 

Membership gives you access to club sessions (with a little extra cost for swimming) entry to the cross-country races, a club running vest and the chance to join our social events. 

We welcome new members of all shapes and sizes, aged 16 and up (no upper limit!). If you’re younger and eager to tri, check out Ludlow Triathlon Club.
